1. What is a air curtain?
When the air curtain operates, it will create two straight, vertical, non-spreading, high-speed wind streams, creating an invisible wind wall. It separates the existing air flow of the space, creating two separate areas.

2. Uses of Air curtain
Air curtains have the same functions as regular doors. When the curtains are activated, they will help:
2.1 Prevent cold air loss
When the door is open and the air curtain is operating, the cold air inside the room is prevented from escaping. From there, ensure a stable temperature inside. The refrigeration equipment inside the room does not need to operate continuously to regain its original stable temperature.
2.2 Prevent insects, dust, moisture, and odors from the air
When the door is open, the air curtain operates, preventing insects, dust, moisture, and odorous air from entering the room. Because they were blocked by the wind curtain and blown out.
3. Principle of operation

The air curtain inhales air through the intake inside the centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan rotates to create a high-speed, vertical airflow thanks to the high-power motor. Then, they will push this air to the outside through 2 blower doors.
A door blowing inward (Illustration of blue airflow in the picture): When it lands, it will bend back into the room. The air is clean and the temperature also moves along the curve and returns to the room
One door blows outward (Illustration of red air flow in the picture): When it lands, it will bend outward. Dirt, insects, moisture,… also move in curves and return to the outside environment
When installing air curtains in combination with doors
Door opens -> magnetic switch opens -> Air cutting fan operates
Door closes -> magnetic switch closes -> Blower fan turns off

5. Application
Air curtains are commonly used in places with high travel frequency, transporting bulky goods, etc. Or places that require high standards of temperature and insects:
- Supermarkets, restaurants, eateries
- Shops, showrooms
- Office, building
- Factory producing electronic components, food, pharmaceuticals,…
- Goods storage warehouse
- Clean room, cold storage
- Entrance doors, warehouse doors for import and export of goods, interroom doors,…
6. Should I use the air curtain?
Air curtains combined with automatic doors will maximize effectiveness and save costs
Whether or not you should use air curtains depends on your intended use.
If you need to maximize 100% efficiency, the wind cutting fan cannot do that. The air curtain will definitely have gaps. Therefore, we recommend that you use air curtains in combination with automatic opening/closing doors.
If your installation area needs quiet, air curtains are not the first choice, because they create a lot of noise. You should carefully review the fan specifications regarding Noise Level to choose and install the appropriate fan type.
And if you need a product that prevents cold air loss, prevents insects while still being convenient to move back and forth. Eliminating opening/closing operations and physical entanglements, air curtains are the best choice. In addition, air curtains also have advantages:
- Beauty
- Capable of continuous operation
- Ensure safety, avoid collisions
- Save area
- Automate, save time
